When you use this site, the only information recorded by BeerDates.com is access log information. In other words, I know what pages are being looked at, when they're being requested, which pages referred you to those pages, what type of browser is being used to request those pages, and (possibly) what internet service provider is requesting them on your behalf. None of this information can be used to identify you as an individual.
BeerDates.com's access logs are used to improve the site's design by detecting server errors and design mistakes. Access logs are retained indefinitely, and occassionally used to produce publically-available aggregate data on site usage (i.e., a statistics page for BeerDates.com. The actual access logs are not shared with any outside parties.
This site uses HTTP Cookies to limit the number of advertisments shown to each user. This cookie (stored on your computer) records the time and date you were last shown a pop-up advertisement. BeerDates.com does not retain this information on its server, and cannot use the cookie to identify you.
Blocking BeerDates.com's cookies will not prevent you from using this site, but may cause the site to display an excessive number of pop-up advertisments.
BeerDates.com allow users to provide feedback using the guestbook. Using the guestbook requires you to reveal your name (although there's nothing preventing you from using a pseudonym), and allows you the option of including other identifying data (such as e-mail address and hometown). Anything you write in the guestbook is readable by other users of this web site.
Use of the guestbook is completely optional. You can always send confidential feedback to Michael Bauser by e-mailing him at webmaster@BeerDates.com. You can also use this address to request deletion of guestbook entries you've already made.
